Christine Liuqing Yang joined ISC in January 2006. She previously held several positions at the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), which she joined in 2000 as chief editor and program manager of the Virtual Science Museum (English Version), an award-winning educational Web site. Later in her employment with CAS, she was appointed international affairs executive of the Computer Network Information Center (CNIC) of CAS. She has chaired or served on a number of association boards to promote arts, culture and international communication.
Christine Yang holds a B.A. in English & International Trade and a M.S. in Science & Technology Journalism. Her responsibilities include:
- Serve as counsel to Executive Director of the Institute of Scientific Computation on academic, administrative and business activities.
- Supervise administrative staff and oversee business and administration related activities for ISC.
- Direct communications for ISC, including web site development, publicity activities, and preparation of proposals and publications.
- Serve as liaison with other university offices, national and international organizations.
